I chose to talk about a professional blog called fashion bomb daily ( http://fashionbombdaily.com/ ). The blog was created by Claire Sulmers in August 2006. The blog is  designed to inform people about new fashion trends, beauty tips and what the celebrities wear.

Some of the features include Fashion and style, interviews and celebrities. It also includes men's style and new designers collections. The blog has adopted the use of twitter to connect with its viewers, they also allow people to submit pictures of fashion Do's or Don'ts.

Various companies also advertise their products on the blog giving the blog more revenue from advertising. The blog is very successful and is a good insight into the world of fashion.

Summary and Final post...

With the aid of these Technologies, I believe Gorgeous Garments will be a very successful store. The company has employed social media such as Facebook and Twitter for advertising in order to reach a large market. 

The company has also employed the use of databases and spreadsheets for effective recording and efficiency. Google Wallet was also included to give customers a wider variety of payment methods to increase their comfort.

Unix will be used to improve communication with to customers and employees. Our twitter account was also made so we could interact with our customers. Thus their worries, complaints and problems would reach us faster and we would be able to solve them.  We believe the company now has a solid ground to do very well in the business world and we believe Gorgeous Garments will add something new and exciting to the world of fashion.

Database on GG

Gorgeous Garments finds databases very useful for sorting and storing information. The company employs the use of database in its finance and accounts department.

The company uses Microsoft Access to create annual financial tables and reports. This helps us to be able to compare our profits and costs from previous years easily.

Databases makes data easily accessible and easy to find. As longer as data is entered correctly, the database reduces errors and increases data constituency.

Unix in Gorgeous Garments....

Unix is a very useful tool in the business world and this is why Gorgeous Garments plans to use Unix to reach its customers. We plan to use Unix to send news of news in-store arrivals and clearances to customers.

Unix will help us save time because it would be faster than sending it directing via email. This will help us because we can direct the spare time into the the production of new clothes.

We also plan to use Unix within the office as well to send urgent messages to employees about emergency meetings or if there is a change in decisions by management.

Gorgeous Garments uses Google Wallet

Gorgeous Garments plans to make the use of Google Wallet available to customers thus easing the stress of shopping. This program will help improve security in the store because the store will not cary a lot of cash thus preventing crime.

Google Wallet will also protect our customers from crime because it is more secure than carrying a wallet because even if a customer's phone is stolen, a pin is still needed to access the Google Wallet.

The customers will also not be able to make wrong payments because the phone has to be 4cm away from the point of payment for the transactions to go through. Gorgeous Garments will encourage customers to adopt the use of Google because of its many advantages.

Protecting customers From Identity Theft

We at Gorgeous Garments are very aware of the dangers of identity theft and we plan to protect our customers from it. As a result of about 50% of our customers falling into the age range of people more prone to identity theft, we have developed a program teaching how to avoid identity theft via Email.

In the course of this program, we will encourage customers to use credit cards instead of debit cards. We will also encourage them to keep their credit cards and social security numbers very securely. Customers will also be encouraged to check their credit regularly.

As a company will also do our part to protect our customers by keeping files very securely. The company will also dispose of replaced computers properly and most especially shred replaced hard drives in order to avoid customer details getting into the wrong hands.

Gorgeous Garments' Spreadsheets.

Gorgeous Garments uses spreadsheets to better our finance and accounting department. We record our inventory and document how much equipment, material and labor, we bought and how much was used. We also record our budget and cost production at the end of the each year, we use the spreadsheet to match our cost to our revenue to determine whether the company broke-even. 

The spreadsheet makes accounting easier because human errors are easily detected. It helps us to record our inventory and manage our capital, properly. Through the budget, the sales managers have a set target and this helps them work efficiently towards a common goal.

The spreadsheet helps increase organization in the company because data is stored in an easily accessible manner.  The financial records on the spreadsheet are also stored permanently and can be retrieved at any time for future use. For example, to compare profits of over the years.

Marketing Ideas Through Social Media.

The board of Gorgeous Garments truly understands the power of social media in this century. This is why the store plans to set up a facebook page to promote this amazing brand. We hope to reach the large market, facebook will give us access to.

We also hope to advert on facebook to increase the awareness of the brand in order to increase demand for the clothes.We also hope to set up a twitter account so our customers would have easy access to information about new releases and arrivals in the store.

The twitter account would also serve as a place, where the store can receive complaints and inquiries. We want our customers to feel closer to us and we hope this would help us serve them better. Other marketing ideas would include billboards adverts and leaflets.

Gorgeous Garments is a new women's clothing store set to hit the streets in January 2012. Gorgeous garments' clothes would be the hippest and trendiest clothes to be released in 2012. The clothes would be designed by the talented, Janet Bou and Mark Lee. Gorgeous Garments would also be a franchise and carry other designers' collections such as the Kardashian Kollection. Gorgeous Garments would help customers to explore the beautiful world of fashion and develop their inner style. These clothes would give customers a celebrity look for an affordable price. The store would also carry clothes for women from ages 15 to 40. Get excited for the biggest and hottest store to the fashion world!
